Artist Announcement: The Sensational Barnes Brothers are coming to Vicksburg! The Levitt AMP Vicksburg Music Series presented by Mutual Credit Union is proud to welcome The Sensational Barnes Brothers for an evening of gospel soul, powerful harmonies, and a sound that bridges the old and the new. The Sensational Barnes Brothers are a melting pot of the old and the new, creating music that honors the history of gospel and soul while drawing in a modern-day audience. As Pop Matters shared, “The brothers run through a spectrum of moods and modes in their gospel soul, often bridging the gap between, say, the Soul Stirrers and Stax, all the while keeping a local flavor.”The brothers have been featured on Don Bryant’s Grammy-nominated album Don’t Give Up on Love, alongside Dan Auerbach, lead singer of The Black Keys, on his solo album, and on an upcoming album from Latin Grammy-nominated Making Movies.
