Rebecca Sigh receives Main Street Hero award at the Annual MS Main Street Award Ceremony for Farmers Market
Downtown Vicksburg's Very Own Main Street Hero
On Thursday, June 20th, 2024, Rebecca Sigh smiled as she accepted the "Main Street Hero" award at the Annual MS Main Street Award Ceremony for the Vicksburg Farmers Market. This award recognizes an outstanding community leader who has displayed an involved commitment to downtown and his or her Main Street program.
When it comes to commitment to success in downtown Vicksburg, Rebecca Sigh has made her mark. She started her love story with Vicksburg Main Street as Assistant Director and has continued her passion for Main Street through volunteerism, advocacy, and the willingness to share her talents. Rebecca worked for seven years alongside Vicksburg Main Street Director Kim Hopkins where they accomplished a Great American Main Street Semi-Finalist designation.
Rebecca returned in a contract capacity with the Farmers Market, “growing” the event in many dynamic ways including themed events that drew crowds. She has volunteered for over 10 years at annual downtown events including Brick & Spokes and every parade. Whether leading the way or working behind the scenes, you can always be assured that she will go above and beyond what is required. The outcome of Rebecca’s help is always successful, and she does this because her heart is in serving downtown Vicksburg.
Thank you, Rebecca, for being a real hero for the downtown community!
